Volunteer Treasurer

The Pennsylvania Native Plant Society (PNPS) is seeking a volunteer to serve as Treasurer. We would like to ask for your assistance helping us find someone with the expertise and enthusiasm to help us in this role.
Description of the Position:
The Treasurer will be an interim member of the PNPS Board of Directors, with an opportunity to join the Board at the Annual Meeting. The Treasurer will oversee organizational financial accounts and those of Chapters. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board of Directors to submit monthly reports of account balances at the virtual Board of Directors monthly meetings. Tax filings will be performed by the Treasurer, as well as the preparation of the Annual Budget.
Estimated time required for this position at 6 to 8 hours a month.
Qualifications for the Position:
We are looking for the right person to join our Board of Directors with knowledge and experience in finance, accounting, Quickbooks, and non-profit management, or equivalent experience. Belief in the mission of the organization is also essential.
