The Great Valley Native Plant Society is a community that actively engages in efforts to steward and restore native plants across the landscape and passionately advocates for widespread understanding and appreciation of native plants.

As such, we seek to:
  • Provide opportunities for members to meaningfully participate in the stewardship and protection of native plant communities;
  • Support community-based efforts to restore native plants to the landscape;
  • Develop resources for citizens, decision-makers, and professionals that increase their understanding of native plants;
  • Provide directories of local native plant nurseries, seed suppliers, yard certifications, professional certifications, landscape professionals, and more to make landscaping with native plants more accessible, and;
  • Foster passion, enthusiasm, appreciation, and knowledge of native plants with presentations, field trips, and other events.

Collaboration is integral to our work. Native plants know no boundaries and the Great Valley Native Plant Society is eager to work with non-profit organizations, local governments, academia, local businesses, and more to fulfill the mission of the PA Native Plant Society.
