Native Plant Sources
Please email us information about your nursery, or your favorite nursery, or feedback about the nurseries listed here, so that we can keep this list up to date and complete.
Please note that many vendors sell non-natives as well as natives; so please be sure to check out what you are purchasing to be sure it is a Pennsylvania native species. In addition, seed grown at facilities that grow and/or and process non-natives, has an increased likelihood of being contaminated with non-native seed.

Native Plant Green Seal Pledge
In the Spring of 2023 the Pennsylvania Native Plant Society launched our Native Plant Green Seal Pledge.
We are asking nurseries listed on our Website to sign a pledge to not sell any Dirty Dozen plants. In addition to the Dirty Dozen, the pledge also asks nurseries not to sell plants treated with neonicotinoid pesticides which are highly toxic to bees, and that the majority of plant sales be native (according to BONAP-Biota of North America Program). Nurseries that have signed the pledge are identified as a Native Plant Green Seal Nursery on our list below with our happy bumble bee graphic. They will also be identified on our informational flyer as preferred places to buy native plants. The flyer will be promoted at tabling events we participate in throughout the state. Participating nurseries have also received a Green Seal logo sticker to display at their location. We thank these nurseries for pledging to provide healthy and sustainable plants and habitats for birds and other organisms.
